Children learn best when they don’t have to worry about basic necessities like personal hygiene products.
United Way of Venango County implemented the School Care Closet Program to ensure that all youth had access to the products they need so they are better able to focus on their academics.
Twice a year United Way supplies Venango County school districts with personal hygiene products for their students.
During the 2021/2022 school year 23,041 hygiene products were distributed to Cranberry, Franklin, Oil City, Valley Grove, and Venango Technology Center. These closets are easily accessible to 3,789 students.
